In today’s world, it seems like there is an app for everything! It can be overwhelming to discover which apps will enhance your operations among such a large selection. But here at Lucid Books, we’ve found some gems for you. Here are our top 3 business cloud apps of 2014:

Bill.com:

This software allows your company to receive and pay bills in one location that syncs to Xero. It’s as simple as emailing the receipt or invoice to the bill.com inbox. The software integrates with Xero so that bill payment and the corresponding bookkeeping can be taken care of at the same time. Within Xero, it is easy to find the original file from which a bill was created. We use bill.com to ensure our clients’ bills are processed quickly and efficiently.

Asana:

This cloud app allows your business to keep track of tasks and assignments across multiple team members and multiple projects. We use Asana to keep on top of client tasks and see our progress on a particular project. Any team member can create or follow a task. It’s specific enough for details, but broad enough to let you see the big picture. And nothing is more fulfilling than checking a box and watching the task go to the archive.

ZenPayroll:

This is by far our favorite payroll app. It’s simple to set up and includes an option to automatically process payroll on a given date. Once set up is complete, it syncs easily with Xero. ZenPayroll files your quarterly payroll reports with the state and federal governments and provides online access for employees to see their W-2s and pay stubs. Best of all, everything is paperless. You can even sign documents on their site digitally.
